Indian Railways to Launch ‘RailOne’ Super App; UTS App to Be Discontinued from March 1

Date:

New Delhi: Indian Railways is set to roll out its new unified digital platform, RailOne Super App, for booking unreserved tickets, platform tickets, and season passes. The move comes as the existing UTS app will be discontinued from March 1.

Passengers will no longer be able to book unreserved tickets, platform passes, or season tickets through the UTS app after this date. Railway authorities have advised travelers to shift to the RailOne app for all ticket booking services.

RailOne: A Unified Digital Ticketing Platform

The RailOne app has been introduced as an integrated digital platform that combines multiple railway services under one interface. The objective is to simplify travel for millions of passengers across India by offering a seamless ticketing experience.

One of the key advantages of RailOne is that users do not need to create a new account. Passengers can log in using their existing UTS or IRCTC credentials.

The app is available for free download on both Android and iOS platforms.

Benefits for Daily and Occasional Travelers

RailOne is expected to benefit:

  • Daily commuters booking unreserved tickets
  • Passengers purchasing platform tickets
  • Travelers using season passes
  • Occasional train users seeking a simpler booking interface

Railway officials said the app features a more user-friendly interface compared to previous platforms, making it easier for passengers to complete bookings quickly.

3% Discount on Digital Payments

To promote cashless travel and encourage adoption of the new platform, Indian Railways is offering a 3% discount on unreserved tickets booked via RailOne through digital payment modes.

The limited-period offer is valid from January 14 to July 14 and applies only to tickets booked directly through the RailOne app.

Passengers can avail the discount using:

  • UPI
  • Debit or Credit Cards
  • Net Banking
  • Digital Wallets

The launch of RailOne marks a significant step toward digital transformation in railway services, aiming to streamline ticketing processes and enhance passenger convenience across the country.
