Mumbai: Ahead of Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, the Government of Maharashtra has directed all concerned departments to ensure stringent security measures and robust infrastructure arrangements across the state, particularly in Mumbai.

Ambedkar Jayanti marks the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. Every year, lakhs of followers gather at key locations to pay tribute, especially at Chaityabhoomi in Mumbai.
Security Arrangements
The state government has issued strict instructions to the police and local administration to maintain law and order:
Heavy police deployment across sensitive and high-footfall areas
Special security at Chaityabhoomi, the main gathering site
Installation of CCTV cameras and surveillance systems
Deployment of quick response teams (QRTs) and bomb detection squads
