Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has taken proactive steps to address the severe pothole issues on the Bhiwandi-Nashik highway, which have caused significant inconvenience to commuters. In response to growing concerns about the deteriorating condition of the highway, Shinde has directed concerned officials to initiate immediate repair work. He also announced his intention to personally inspect the progress of these repairs.
“Due to potholes on the Bhiwandi-Nashik highway, people have had to suffer,” Shinde acknowledged. “Hence, we have directed all the concerned officials, and work has already begun. I am monitoring the work closely and will visit the site today to inspect it personally.”
The Chief Minister’s intervention underscores the urgency of the situation and reflects his commitment to improving infrastructure and ensuring the safety and convenience of the public. The ongoing repairs are expected to address the issues and enhance the driving experience on this crucial route.
In addition to addressing local infrastructure concerns, Shinde also expressed pride in the achievements of the Indian contingent at the Paris Olympics 2024. Celebrating the success of Indian athletes, he highlighted the achievement of Swapnil Kusale, a shooter from Maharashtra who won a medal at the prestigious event.
“We feel proud when our athletes win medals,” Shinde said. “Swapnil Kusale, who hails from Maharashtra, has also won a medal, and it’s a proud moment for the country.”
