PM Modi Offers Prayers to Goddess Kalaratri on Day 7 of Chaitra Navratri, Extends Wishes to Nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday offered prayers to Goddess Kalaratri, the seventh form of Maa Durga, on the occasion of the seventh day of Chaitra Navratri.


PM Modi Shares Message of Courage and Strength

Taking to X, the Prime Minister prayed for the well-being of citizens and wished that the blessings of Goddess Kalaratri bring courage, determination, and success to everyone.

“Salutations to Maa Kalaratri. May her blessings enrich everyone’s life with courage, resolve, and success,” PM Modi wrote.

He also shared a Sanskrit verse praising the divine form of the Goddess:

“Vamapadolllasal-lohalata-kantak-bhushana,
Vardhan-murdh-dhwaja Krishna Kalaratri Bhayankari.”


Significance of Maa Kalaratri

Goddess Kalaratri is revered as the destroyer of evil and darkness, symbolizing strength and protection. Devotees believe that her worship removes fear, ignorance, and negativity while bringing peace, prosperity, and positive energy.


Leaders Extend Navratri Greetings

Several political leaders also extended greetings on the occasion:

  • Nitin Nabin wished that Maa Kalaratri bless everyone with courage and protection, removing fear and ignorance.
  • Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan prayed for happiness, prosperity, and well-being of all citizens.
  • Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted that Maa Kalaratri destroys evil and brings peace and positivity.
  • Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended wishes, praying for wisdom, courage, and positive energy for all.
