Union Minister Piyush Goyal hailed the momentous occasion, stating, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to PM Modi on being awarded Russia’s highest civilian honour, the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. This accolade is a matter of immense pride for 140 crore Indians, symbolizing the global recognition of PM Modi’s visionary leadership.”

Established by Tsar Peter the Great in 1698, the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle is bestowed upon individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the state and society. Prime Minister Modi’s recognition marks a historic milestone as he becomes the first Indian leader to receive this prestigious award.
