Harbhajan Singh Congratulates Virat Kohli, RCB on Maiden IPL Title: “He Deserves Every Trophy”

Date:

Mumbai, Maharashtra — Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh expressed heartfelt joy over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lifting their first-ever IPL trophy, especially for star batter Virat Kohli, who has been with the team since the beginning.

“I am very happy for Virat Kohli; he has been working hard for a long time. It was a wait of 17 years,” said Harbhajan. Reflecting on RCB fans’ unwavering support, he added, “The loyalty of RCB fans — it is easy to support a team when they win, but supporting them when they lose is very hard. That shows how strong their loyalty is.”

In a symbolic nod to the timing, he remarked, “On the 18th year, the trophy was supposed to go to number 18,” referring to Kohli’s jersey number. “It is never too late. We got emotional along with him yesterday. He is a legend in this game, and he should have every trophy of this game,” Harbhajan concluded.

The victory marks a long-awaited milestone for Kohli and his franchise, celebrated by fans and cricket legends alike.
