Shiv Sena Leader Shaina NC Criticizes MK Stalin Over Language Politics

Date:

Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC has slammed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin over his stance on language issues, calling it a form of “regressive politics” that distracts from real progress.

“I consider myself fortunate that I am able to speak Marathi, Hindi, and Gujarati, read Marathi, Hindi, and Gujarati, and write Marathi, Hindi, and Gujarati. The beauty of India is unity in diversity, and every language is a sister or brother in terms of dialect, culture, and history,” Shaina NC stated.

Taking a direct jab at Stalin, she accused him of repeatedly creating unnecessary controversies over language.

“MK Stalin always plays this regressive politics where he makes up this issue of ‘bhashavaad’ (linguistic division)… We need to move beyond and talk about progress. Every time you make language an issue, it shows your mindset,” she added.

The remarks come amid ongoing debates over the three-language policy and concerns about Hindi imposition in Tamil Nadu. Stalin and the DMK have long opposed any attempts to promote Hindi in the state, arguing that it threatens regional identity.

However, Shaina NC’s comments reflect the broader sentiment that India’s linguistic diversity should be seen as a strength rather than a political tool. With language politics resurfacing ahead of key elections, the debate is expected to continue.
