Shiv Sena’s Manisha Kayande: Modi Has Never Oppressed Muslims, Criticizes MVA’s Approach

Date:

Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande has responded to Uddhav Thackeray’s remarks regarding the BJP’s ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ (Gift of Modi), defending Prime Minister Narendra Modi against allegations of oppression and highlighting the government’s efforts towards inclusive governance.

“Mr. Modi during his tenure has never oppressed any Muslims. In fact, he has tried to do justice to everybody. While MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi) was always trying to appease Muslims,” Kayande said, refuting claims made by the Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leader. Kayande’s statement aims to counter Thackeray’s criticism of the BJP’s approach, particularly in relation to its policies on minority communities.

Kayande emphasized that the Modi government has worked towards the welfare of all citizens, regardless of their religion, and rejected the notion that the BJP has targeted any particular community. She also accused the MVA alliance of engaging in appeasement politics, particularly regarding the Muslim vote bank.

The statement adds to the ongoing political discourse in Maharashtra, with Shiv Sena factions aligning themselves differently on their stance towards the BJP and the Modi government.
