People’s Trust in Devendra Fadnavis Reflected in Civic Poll Results, Says BJP MLC Chitra Wagh

Date:

Mumbai: Reacting to the Maharashtra civic body polls, BJP MLC Chitra Wagh on Tuesday said the results clearly reflected the public’s trust in Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the party’s development-focused agenda.

Speaking in Mumbai, Wagh said, “This is the trust shown by the people on CM Devendra Fadnavis. People want development. We can see its result in civic body polls. BJP has emerged as the number one party.”

Highlighting the broader political implications of the civic poll outcome, she expressed confidence that the BJP would continue its electoral momentum in upcoming local body elections. “Zilla Parishad elections are about to be held. There too, ours will be the number one party,” Wagh asserted.

The BJP’s strong performance in the civic body polls has been projected by party leaders as a validation of its governance model and welfare initiatives at the grassroots level. The results are also being seen as a key indicator of voter sentiment ahead of future electoral contests in Maharashtra.

Wagh said the party would take the mandate as a responsibility to further accelerate development works, strengthen local governance, and ensure effective delivery of public services across urban and rural areas of the state.
