French President Emmanuel Macron to Visit Mumbai and Delhi from February 16–19

French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron will undertake an official visit to India from February 16 to 19, with engagements scheduled in Mumbai and New Delhi.

According to official sources, President Macron will arrive in Mumbai on February 16 and is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 17. The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation across sectors including trade, defence, climate action, and strategic partnership.

Following engagements in Mumbai, the French President and First Lady will travel to New Delhi to attend the AI Impact Summit 2026. The summit is expected to bring together global leaders, policymakers, and technology experts to deliberate on the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and its regulatory, ethical, and economic dimensions.

India and France share a longstanding strategic partnership, with cooperation spanning defence collaboration, civil nuclear energy, space, and climate initiatives. The upcoming visit is seen as a step towards further deepening ties and reinforcing collaboration on emerging technologies and global challenges.

Officials said additional bilateral meetings and interactions may also take place during the visit, underscoring the importance both nations attach to high-level diplomatic engagement.
